I am a Christian board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician and Global Health expert who has come to learn the role of nutrition and lifestyle in managing and healing chronic disease. After nearly a decade of working in Emergency Medicine, I began to feel like I was just treating symptoms and not getting to the root cause of my patients’ health issues. The Emergency Room is an invaluable resource in managing emergencies but is not conducive to finding the root cause of a health issue. This disconnect led me on a quest for true health. As a Christian, I asked The Creator to show me His design for true health. First, He led me to a Gospel Medical Missionary Course where I learned about the Biblical principles of health. Then I trained in Nutritional therapies for chronic disease- particularly Cancer- and started Integrative Nutritional Consulting which led me to Functional Medicine. This has blossomed into this Integrative Nutrition and Health Coaching Practice: NEW LEAF NOW!

Dr. Tibaleka was born and raised in Uganda, East Africa. After achieving the 2nd highest score in the nation, she went to high school at the prestigious Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga for O’Levels. On the basis of academic merit and community service, she then got a full scholarship to The United World College in Montezuma, New Mexico, USA.
